TESSA project wins WISE 2011 award
The Open University-led Teacher Education in Sub Saharan Africa (TESSA) project created a range of open educational resources which are available free, in four languages, to support school-based teacher education and classroom activities in African primary schools.

Global monitoring report
The 2011 Education for All Global Monitoring Report warns that armed conflict is robbing 28 million children of an education by exposing them to widespread sexual violence, targeted attacks on schools and other abuses.
