The education funding gap is large and increasing due to COVID-19, while demand for access to education continues to grow. And yet, many countries already have high rates of spend on education, with low- and middle-income countries comprising the top 15 countries in the world that spend the most on education as a proportion of their budget.

The dialogue on financing education needs to consider the role that both public and private capital can play in closing the education funding gap.

Join Opportunity International EduFinance and our expert panelists to discuss:

  • The overall global education funding gap
  • Why a dual approach of both public and private funding is necessary
  • How private capital may be attracted

Confirmed panelists for this official 2021 Global Education Summit Side Event include:

The panel will be Liesbet Steer, Education Commission, Justin van Fleet, Global Business Coalition for Education, Suezan Lee, Centre for Education, democracy, Development and innovation bureau USAID, Scott Sheridan , Opportunity International and Andrew McCusker, Opportunity Inernational
