UKFIET maintain a Bursary Fund, which provides assistance with conference attendance for those who have had an abstract accepted for presentation and meet the criteria.

In 2019, to allow as much time as possible for UK entry visa applications we are accepting applications to the fund in advance of the notification of outcome of submitted abstracts.  Applications for those whose abstract has been successful will be forwarded to the Bursary Committee for consideration.  We therefore remind those who have submitted an abstract to make their application. (Please note that the call for abstracts has now closed).

The fund for the 2019 Conference was contributed to by regular donors and by voluntary donations as part of the 2017 conference fee.  The conference fee in 2019 includes a voluntary donation which will be added to the 2021 fund.  To find out more about who has benefited from the fund at previous conferences, please see our general information on the Bursary Fund. For full information on the fund and how to apply  this year,  please see our Bursary Application 2019  page.
