Around the world, growing attention is being paid to inclusive education and to ensuring that no learner is left behind. Yet inclusion within the education workforce remains critically under-addressed—particularly when it comes to teachers with disabilities. As countries push forward with efforts to transform education systems, workforce representation must be part of the agenda.

This webinar will launch the Learning Generation Initiative’s latest research synthesis exploring the experiences of teachers with disabilities and the barriers they face across the professional lifecycle—from recruitment to deployment, retention, and progression. The paper highlights teacher voices, shares promising practices, and practical recommendations for how national education systems can better support and include teachers with disabilities.

Funded by the What Works Hub for Global Education (WWHGE), the research places teacher voices at the centre of the conversation, offering perspectives from low- and middle-income countries.
