GPE KIX and partners from the Global Coalition for Foundational Learning (GCFL)—including GPE and the Gates Foundation—are hosting a webinar to bring together key stakeholders to share insights on strengthening education data systems and improving the availability and use of learning data at classroom, district, national, and cross-sectoral levels. The goal: to ensure more effective resource allocation and better meet the learning needs of all children.

Webinar Objectives

  • Share tools, approaches, and practices for measuring and reporting on learning, with a focus on child-level and school-level data systems
  • Discuss strategies to integrate datasets—including learning assessments—to scale up data use by policymakers and improve timely, effective decision-making at all levels
  • Present practical country cases on the quality and use of data to inform learning monitoring, teaching practices, and resource allocation
  • Participants—including national and mid-tier policymakers, development partners, and researchers—will exchange innovations that enhance data generation, learning monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making.

The webinar will highlight findings from five GPE KIX-supported research projects across 44 GPE partner countries, synthesised in a newly published report. It will also feature new GPE KIX projects that are advancing this work by generating practical evidence to improve child- and school-level data systems and strengthen capacities for using quality, timely data—especially at district and school levels—to drive measurable improvements in foundational learning for children.
