Global-level webinar

No girl with disabilities left behind: an intersectional approach to education, Wednesday 9 June, 8:00-9:15 EDT | 14:00-15:15 CEST

The global-level webinar will provide a platform for advocacy, learning and exchange to make the case for inclusive education for girls with disabilities, in the lead up to the G7 and GPE Global Education Summit. Evidence from the Western and Central African region will be presented, leading to recommendations for cooperation, advocacy, funding, and best practice at the international level. Speakers representing donor countries, civil society, organisations of persons with disabilities and youth advocates will come together to call for more inclusive and gender-responsive education systems, identifying priority areas for action to address intersectionality (gender and disability) in education.

The first seminar was on gender and disability inclusion in education: evidence from West and Central Africa held on 25 May 2021.
