Education can promote climate literacy and awareness, and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices. Education can also effectively promote climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. Addressing climate change and promoting environmental sustainability can create a safe and healthy environment for learning and ensure that current and future generations have access to quality education.
Worldwide Climate and Justice Education Week is a global initiative sparking dialogue on climate, justice and education on campuses and in communities around the world. Solving the climate crisis requires all of us. Not just climate experts, but everyone, no matter their discipline.
This hybrid roundtable event engages experts in climate, justice and education to move beyond simple climate awareness to tackle complex questions of climate and social justice, and interlinkages between climate, education and other SDGs.
