The Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), Plan International, and Expertise France invite you to a webinar on strengthening teacher wellbeing and professional development in crisis-affected contexts.

Teachers play a critical role in supporting children’s learning and wellbeing in crisis contexts, yet they often work under immense pressure with limited support. This webinar will explore approaches to strengthening teacher professional development and wellbeing in emergencies.

Participants will hear a brief overview of global challenges and opportunities related to teacher support in crisis settings, of the approach fostered by the Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa (RTIA) in the support to teacher professional development and well-being, illustrated by a case study from Plan International Ireland and Plan International Nigeria on strengthening teacher systems and delivering training in Northern Nigeria. The session will also highlight perspectives from teachers and education partners working directly in crisis-affected contexts.
