BAICE Special Announcement – additional grants for UKFIET conference released

BAICE has launched a scheme to support attendance at the September UKFIET conference. BAICE is offering a £200 contribution to students, early career researchers within 5 years of the award of their PhD, or colleagues on fixed-term contracts of 24 months or less. There are fifteen grants available.

To apply, please send an expression of interest to BAICE by Friday 23rd June. The email must include a single PDF document that contains:

  1. Confirmation that you have had an abstract accepted at UKFIET 2023.
  2. Confirmation from a supervisor or line manager that you meet at least one of the criteria (you are a registered student; you are within 5 years of your PhD; you are on a fixed term contract of <24 months)
  3. Confirmation from a supervisor or line manager that you have not received grant or institutional funding to attend UKFIET that covers more than 50% of the total cost of attendance (taking into account registration, accommodation, reasonable subsistence and economy travel). Please provide an indicative budget for your attendance at UKFIET.
