Request for proposals for country reports on foundational learning – Angola, Mauritania, Niger, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia

The Spotlight report series on universal basic education completion and foundational learning in Africa is a partnership between the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report and the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA). Each annual cycle in the series covers at least five countries in depth. Click here to learn more about the series. 

As part of the 2022/3 cycle, we invite interested parties to respond to the following requests for proposals to support the country research in: 

The research will serve as a key input to a continental report on basic education and foundational learning in Africa in 2023. The objective of the country work is to: engage in consultation on key factors affecting progress in foundational learning in the countries; collect data and other evidence; undertake small-scale fieldwork research; and produce a brief and accessible report with the aim to stimulate evidence-based strategic dialogue at country level.

You may submit a proposal or share with entities that would be interested.

The requests for proposals outline the process in detail. Kindly note that a proposal should be submitted by e-mail no later than close of business (18:00 Central European time) on 10 August 2022. The e-mail, not exceeding 5Mb, should be addressed to j.kiyenje@unesco.org.
