SUMMARY:What Next for Education in Sub-Saharan Africa? Safe and Inclusive E
 ducation for All
DESCRIPTION:21 May\, 2025\, 15:00-16:00 BST\nLivestreamed from CGD London O
ffice\nREGISTER HERE\nAround the world\, millions of children are either o
ut of school\, or in classrooms where they are not safe\, experience viole
nce\, or encounter other barriers that prevent them from learning effectiv
ely. These challenges disproportionately affect the most vulnerable childr
en and can exacerbate existing education inequalities across gender\, ethn
icity\, disability and economic condition dimensions.\nOn the margins of t
he Education World Forum\, the Center for Global Development (CGD) and the
Global Partnership for Education (GPE) will host a high-level panel discu
ssion on how to make schools safer and more inclusive for children across
Sub-Saharan Africa.\nAs efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4
—the global commitment to ensure inclusive\, equitable\, and quality edu
cation for all by 2030—face growing challenges\, education must remain a
priority.\nThis event will highlight how leveraging local expertise\, str
 engthening partnerships\, and evidence-based\, context-specific solutions
can help ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn in a safe\,
 inclusive environment.
