 they host the virtual launch of the latest special issue from the Internat
 ional Review of Education. Articles in this issue explore how global gover
 nance actors shaped the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how the S
 DGs act as an independent mechanism in influencing nation-states. Editors
