 tiative (UNGEI)\, UNICEF\, UNESCO International Institute for Educational 
 Planning (IIEP-UNESCO)\, Sightsavers and Humanity &amp\; Inclusion are joi
 ning forces to launch two-part webinar series on inclusive education for g
 irls with disabilities! When safe\, quality education is available to all\
 , it has the potential to transform our societies and reverse inequalities
 . 2021 is a critical year for girls’ education. Join us in learning more
  about\, and calling for\, gender-and disability-inclusive education for a
 ll.\nRegional-level webinar\nGender and disability inclusion in education
 : evidence from West and Central Africa\, Tuesday 25th May\, 14:00-15:30 G

 eir right to education. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated existing gen
 der inequalities and presented new challenges for inclusive education syst
 ems. Building on studies conducted by UNICEF\, Humanity &amp\; Inclusion a
 nd Sightsavers in West Africa\, the regional-level webinar will shed light
  on the importance of intersectionality in education\, with a focus on gen
 der and disability. The event will stimulate discussions around the local\
 , national and regional responses that are needed to effectively address b
 arriers and ensure inclusive education for girls with disabilities. \nJoi

 case for inclusive education for girls with disabilities\, in the lead up 
 to the G7 and GPE Global Education Summit. Evidence from the Western and C
 entral African region will be presented\, leading to recommendations for c
 ooperation\, advocacy\, funding\, and best practice at the international l
 evel. Speakers representing donor countries\, civil society\, organisation
 s of persons with disabilities and youth advocates will come together to c
 all for more inclusive and gender-responsive education systems\, identifyi
 ng priority areas for action to address intersectionality (gender and disa
