SUMMARY:The Future of Equity Policy in Education and Health: Will Intersect
 oral Action be the Solution?
DESCRIPTION:NORRAG and the Global Health Centre (GHC)\, Graduate Institute\
 , Geneva\, are co-organising a webinar to discuss the opportunities and ch
 allenges to intersectoral research\, practice and policy in education and 
 health.\nREGISTER HERE\nMany governments\, international organisations\, p
 ractitioners\, and researchers express high rhetorical support for more eq
 uitable policy outcomes. It is common for policymakers to back up this equ
 ity policy rhetoric with a commitment to intersectoral action and collabor
 ation inside and outside of government\, described with terms such as holi
 stic\, joined-up\, collaborative\, or systems approaches to governance. At
  the same time\, it is common for research on policymaking to highlight th
 e ever-present and systemic obstacles to the achievement of such admirable
  but vague aims.\nRecent reviews of equity policy and policymaking in two 
 different sectors – health and education – highlight these obstacles i
 n different ways. This webinar invites experts in both fields to open up t
 he discussion with a web audience to discuss these issues.\nSpeaker and Di

 form from 17:00-18:30 (CET/Geneva). After a presentation by Paul Cairney\,
  the two discussants Colette Chabbott and Remco Van de Pas will discuss po
 ints related to their area of expertise in the education and health sector
 s. Following this there will be a roundtable discussion between the three 
 speakers\, and then ample time to take questions from the audience. See th
