SUMMARY:Supporting children’s mental health and mental wellbeing in and t
hrough education in contexts of conflict and protracted crises: Evidence R
 eview
DESCRIPTION:25 June\, 13:00 BST\nERICC and IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education
and Society with Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE)
will host a virtual Seminar on support for children’s mental health and
emotional wellbeing in and through education in conflict and protracted c
risis contexts.\n\nWhile much existing research in this area focuses on le
arning loss and foundational skills\, this latest ERICC evidence review ad
opts a somewhat different perspective\, outlining the challenges to mental
health and emotional wellbeing\, and suggests how education-related progr
ammes might best be developed and enacted to support children’s mental h
ealth and emotional wellbeing.\n\nDr Genevieve Greer (International Rescue
Committee) and Dr Ian Warwick (IOE\, UCL) will present findings which ide
ntify promising practices and key gaps in education-related support for ch
ildren\, and suggest how education-related programmes might best be develo
ped and enacted to support children’s mental health and emotional wellbe
ing. \n\nChairing the Seminar is Professor Elaine Chase with Discussant Pr
 ofessor Lawrence Aber.
