 ng COVID-19: An elusive priority?\nIn recent years\, girls' education has 
 been a top priority for governments\, funders\, and global bodies. And yet
 \, during the COVID-19 pandemic\, girls have lost out again. While inequal
 ities have been exacerbated for both girls and boys\, gains previously mad
 e for girls’ education are slipping away.\nIIEP’s upcoming Strategic D
 ebate will present an overview of the impact of COVID-19 on girls' educati
 on and will facilitate discussion on the pivotal role of gender norms in e
 ducation. The Debate will look at how these norms are impacted by crisis\,
  and ask how progress in shifting gender norms can be protected when the p
 ressure rises. How can we ensure that girls' education remains a genuine p
 riority in times of crisis and what happens in countries experiencing mult
