Teachers have made heroic efforts in trying to ensure that children continue to learn despite the challenges of the pandemic, and will continue to play a critical role on the front lines as schools reopen. To celebrate teachers on and in the lead up to World Teachers’ Day, the World Bank Education Global Practice has organised a series of events to recognise the work of teachers through the pandemic, and spotlight the importance of supporting teachers to lead the global education recovery efforts.
