DESCRIPTION:14:00-15:30 CET\, 13:00-14:30 GMT\nThe online launch of NORRAG 
 Special Issue 05 (NSI 05)\, “Domestic Financing: Tax and Education”\, 
 will take place on 23 November 2020 at 2pm CET. Much research focuses on i
 nternational public and private financing for education. NSI 05 focuses on
  the main source of funding for education: taxes. In this NSI\, researcher
 s\, practitioners and advocates examine the need to increase the size of t
 he public purse\, and the share that is dedicated to education. This launc
 h highlights some of the global and national perspectives in NSI 05\, and 
 gives participants the opportunity to pose questions to these experts\nAft
 er an introduction by the guest editor\, David Archer from ActionAid\, six
  authors of articles in NSI 05 will present global and national perspectiv
 es on the question of tax justice and education. Discussant Camila Croso\,
  Director of Education at the Open Society Foundations\, will respond to t
 he themes raised in NSI 05. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&a
 mp\;A with the audience.\nThe launch event\, which takes place online\, is
  oriented towards researchers\, policymakers\, practitioners and advocates
  who are interested and engaged in education broadly\, and education finan
