 rs\, policies have shifted to encourage the integration of refugee childre
 n into a host country’s national system\, recognising the need for susta
 inable solutions within contexts of protracted displacement. This presenta
 tion delves into the Jordanian context and explores the double-shift syste
 m\; an integration model that allows Syrian refugees to integrate into nat
 ional schools\, though they attend school hours in the afternoon and are s
 eparated from Jordanian students.\nThe presentation draws on a study condu
 cted with Syrian refugee students attending secondary education\, explorin
 g their own sense of belonging and aspirations within their educational sp
 aces. By sharing their experiences of living and learning in Jordan\, this
  presentation discusses the role that education plays in expanding opportu
 nities and well-being in contexts of displacement. It showcases the import
 ance of further examining local structures and practices in schools and th
 eir implications on achieving equity and inclusion.
