SUMMARY:INEE ERICC Webinar Series: What Works to Improve Foundational Learn
 ing in Emergency Contexts
DESCRIPTION:16 April\, 15:00-16:30\nRegister here\nAs the Education in Emer
gencies (EiE) sector navigates compounding crises and widespread disruptio
ns to learning alongside a rapidly shrinking funding landscape\, understan
ding evidence of “what works” is more important than ever. However\, d
edicated funding for EiE research remains relatively limited and the major
ity of existing studies focus on identifying needs and describing problems
rather than effectiveness and/or impact.\nIn response to this need\, many
researchers in the sector have synthesised and generated new\, important
evidence about “what works” to improve foundational learning in emerge
ncy contexts. Learnings from these studies highlight the impacts\, cost-ef
fectiveness\, and challenges associated with key interventions\, including
software-based learning programmes\, phone tutoring\, and accelerated edu
cation programming. \nINEE is bringing together researchers to present th
e latest evidence for donors\, policymakers\, and practitioners in impleme
nting literacy and numeracy interventions in emergency contexts. Join to h
ear the latest evidence from:\n\n	Education Research in Conflict and Protr
acted Crisis (ERICC)\, on a global evidence review of impact evaluations i
 n EiE\;\n	Luminos Fund\, on accelerated education programming\;\n	ConnectE
 d\, on phone-based tutoring in emergencies\; \n	Imagine Worldwide\, on di
 gital learning games to improve foundational learning.\n\n&nbsp\;
