SUMMARY:Hope Renewed: Fulfilling Our Education Promises to Girls
DESCRIPTION:30 September\, 3pm BST\nREGISTER HERE\nA key tenet of the COVID
 -19 response and recovery is getting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Devel
 opment back on track\, especially for girls\, at all levels of education. 
 The international community knows this and has reaffirmed the importance o
 f girls’ education through bold and transformative commitments during th
 e G7 Summit\, Generation Equality Forum\, and Global Education Summit. We 
 now need to turn our promises into meaningful action for the millions of g
 irls around the world\, including girls with disabilities\, pregnant girls
  and young mothers\, and girls living in crisis and conflict contexts. Tra
 nsforming education systems for girls will require effective leadership\, 
 coordination\, and accountability mechanisms.\n\nThis high-level side even
 t at the UN General Assembly will bring together key stakeholders—nation
 al governments\, donors and partners — to do the following:\n\n1. Reaffi
 rm the centrality of girls’ education to COVID-19 recovery and the achie
 vement of the Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5\, among others.\n2. Fa
 cilitate high-level strategic dialogue on implementing the girls’ educat
 ion commitments and building accountability for these pledges.\n3. Showcas
 e country solutions to support girls’ education in various contexts.\n4.
  Galvanize the ecosystem of partners to deliver results for girls.\n\nNote
 : French and Spanish simultaneous interpretation will be available.\nREGIS
