 type: Webinar \nEffective uptake of the growing body of evidence on educa
 tion in low and middle income countries (LMICs) is essential for the desig
 n and implementation of policies to address the ‘learning crisis’.  I
 n recent years\, efforts to synthesise the evidence in education have gath
 ered pace\, including through ambitious systematic reviews and recently 
 through the work of the Global Education Evidence Advisory Panel (GEEAP)
  hosted by the UK FCDO (Foreign\, Commonwealth and Development Office) and
  World Bank.  The Panel released its first recommendations on ‘Smart B
 uys’ in education for low- and middle-income countries in October 2020 
 and is working with policymakers in LMICs to support the use of global evi
 dence in decision-making.   \nIn this webinar\, we will hear perspective
 s from GEEAP members and academics and practitioners in the UKFIET and wid
 er education-evidence constituencies on the generation and use of evidence
 -based recommendations for addressing real-world educational challenges at
