  March\, the Teacher Task Force and UNESCO will co-organise a webinar “E
 mpowering refugee teachers through recognition: A sustainable response to 
 teacher shortages in crisis-affected contexts.” The session will bring t
 ogether ministries of education\, recognition authorities\, teacher counci
 ls\, development partners and refugee teachers themselves to discuss pract
 ical solutions to teacher shortages. The Teacher Task Force Secretariat wi
 ll help lead the discussion\, emphasising the importance of inclusive teac
 her policies that recognise the qualifications\, experience and profession
 al rights of refugee educators.\nWith an estimated 44 million teachers nee
 ded globally by 2030\, shortages are most acute in crisis-affected and ref
 ugee-hosting contexts. At the same time\, many qualified refugee teachers 
 face legal and administrative barriers that prevent them from working as r
 ecognised professionals\, leaving both refugee and host-community learners
  without access to experienced educators.\nThis webinar will explore susta
 inable policy solutions for addressing the teacher shortage\, including sc
 aling up recognition tools within regulated professional spaces\, while al
 so examining the gap between recognition of prior learning and the licensi
 ng of teaching professionals.\nThrough its participation\, the Teacher Tas
 k Force will continue to advocate for policies that value\, support and in
 tegrate refugee teachers as part of national teaching workforces.
