SUMMARY:Education Financing in Crisis – The role of Data in Breaking Silo
 s
DESCRIPTION:9 October\, 14:00-15:30 BST\nREGISTER HERE\nThis webinar will p
resent a new joint initiative by the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring (G
EM) Report and Education Cannot Wait (ECW).\nDrawing on three internationa
 l datasets—the OECD’s Creditor Reporting System (CRS)\, OCHA’s Finan
cial Tracking Service (FTS)\, and the International Aid Transparency Initi
ative (IATI)—the analysis strengthens understanding of how education is
financed in crisis settings and informs more coherent\, holistic approache
s to tracking aid flows. The aim is to support the consolidation of inform
ation systems that can guide more coherent and impactful financing across
the humanitarian–development divide — a need that is particularly urge
nt as funding for education continues to shrink worldwide.\nPresentations
by Yuki Murakami (GEM) and Christian Stoff and Francesca Pinna (ECW) will
be followed by a panel discussion with global and country-level stakeholde
rs on the broader implications for how we fund and track education in cris
 is contexts.
