 on systems require planning tools that can count every learner—including
  children with disabilities – and turn evidence into better decisions. Y
 et in many contexts\, disability data is unavailable\, incomplete\, or dif
 ficult to compare\, and Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) do
  not always provide the information needed to plan\, budget\, and monitor 
 disability-inclusive education policies and programmes effectively.\nThis 
 webinar will review the principles and good practices for developing an EM
 IS that supports disability-inclusive education\, including how to better 
 identify children with disabilities and their support needs\, and how to c
 apture information on the accessibility and inclusivity of the school envi
 ronment. It will also outline the first steps of a roadmap of options that
  can be adopted in the short\, medium\, and long run\, depending on the lo
 cal context.\nDrawing on the experiences of The Gambia\, South Africa\, an
 d Armenia\, the discussion will highlight recent advancements in disabilit
 y-inclusive EMIS design and implementation\, including how disability data
  is used for decision-making and how EMIS can connect with other systems s
 uch as social protection. \nThe webinar will mark the official launch of 
 the Community of Practice on Disability-Inclusive Education Sector Plannin
 g (CoP-DIESP) – a global platform for knowledge exchange\, peer-learning
 \, and collaboration\, facilitated by IIEP-UNESCO in Africa. The CoP is be
 ing launched as part of the regional programme Planning for Inclusive Educ
 ation\, launched in 2024 with the support of the Italian Agency for Develo
 pment Cooperation (AICS).\n&nbsp\;
