SUMMARY:Bringing data into public finance decision-making processes in the 
 education sector
DESCRIPTION:21 March\, 14:00-15:30\nCommentators frequently lament the lack
  of data that leads governments to make inefficient spending decisions. At
  the same time\, governments often collect mountains of data that goes unu
 sed. This session will look at the challenges of bringing data from digita
 l solutions in the education sector into public finance decision-making pr
 ocesses\, and what governments can do to address them.\nThis session\, cha
 ired by Susan Nicolai (Senior Research Fellow\, ODI) will include:\n\n	The
  presentation of a forthcoming paper on the use of data from education man
 agement information systems (EMIS) in public finance decision making proce
 sses – Alasdair Fraser (Consultant\, Global Partnership for Education)\;
  and\n	Sharing of Sierra Leone experience in data for decision-making from
  Iman Beoku-Betts (Country Lead\, EdTech Hub\, Sierra Leone) and Alasdair 
 Mackintosh (Education Economist\, Fab Inc.).\n\nPlease note:\nAs part of a
