 t the CSW67 (2023) sixty-seventh session of the United Nations Commission 
 on the Status of Women\, the Centre for the Study of Global Development wi
 ll focus on the importance of actively engaging rural women and girls in r
 esearch. It will bring together two aspects of the ‘agreed conclusions
 ’ of the Review Theme (Challenges and opportunities for achieving gender
  equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls):\n\n	Strengthening
  data collection\, analysis and dissemination.\n	Targeting the collective 
 voice\, leadership and decision-making of rural women and girls.\n\nThe Ce
 ntre for the Study of Global Development (Open University UK) will present
  case studies and argue for actively engaging rural women and girls in res
 earch processes to strengthen the evidence base and meaningfully inform po
 licy.\nWhat these case studies suggest for future research design which co
 uld empower rural women and girls will be considered.\n&nbsp\;
