 \, join us for the first-ever Global Symposium on Post-Pandemic Play. Led 
 by a consortium of 11 leading researchers in play and learning from around
  the world\, the symposium will feature discussions with important global 
 researchers and practitioners in play and learning. \nHosted virtually by
  the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Education\, funded by BAICE\, an
 d supported by Cambridge's PEDAL and REAL Centres\, UCL's CEID\, BRAC Univ
 ersity\, and the University of Wollongong\, this symposium has been design
 ed to stimulate conversation and change in how play can be incorporated in
  global post-COVID work for young children and their families.\nClose to 1
 .6 billion children have had their learning disrupted by the impact of the
  COVID-19 pandemic (UNESCO). As global researchers in Education\, we recog
 nise that play has a central\, important and strategic role in how childre
 n can move forward. Play is therefore a highly conducive medium to help ch
 ildren cope with the challenges brought about by the pandemic\, even as th
