UKFIET is...

A coalition of organisations committed to sharing educational ideas, knowledge and expertise between members and across the wider community, in the UK and internationally.By linking public, voluntary, commercial and non-commercial organisations at local, national, and international levels, UKFIET offers a network accessible to individuals working within or seeking information about the field. To encourage the development of teaching, training, research and publication, UKFIET:

    • organises and co-ordinates colloquia, conferences, workshops and other events
    • sponsors a biennial International Conference on Education and Development
    • publishes work on issues of topical concern
    • maintains an inventory of relevant organisations and individuals
    • makes representations to members on issues of common interest

Through our membership UKFIET constitutes a body of professional expertise that serves as a resource to policy-makers in multi-lateral, government, and non-government organisations, and to other institutions and agencies.
